Duh Moment

Good morning!10 23 12

I have received a few emails asking me to start posting my daily eats again. Though I am not completely ready to do that because my foods are really very similar each day still I will post a little.

For instance this is how I begin each day…

Start of Day

I take my Wellesse Multi-vitamin & B-12 sublingual, VitaCost Hair, Skin & Nail formula and a protein coffee drink. I have either a CLICK(be sure to enter the giveaway for this before it ends in a few days)  or Big Train Fit Frappe as I just love both of these bands.

My lunch usually is tuna or turkey jerky sided with a fruit or veggie.

Dinner is a meat I typically will make in the crockpot sided with a veggie and sometimes a mashed potato. I find I can deal with the meat better the moister it is so the crockpot is my friend!!

No worries I will eventually be food blogging each daily eat for those inquiring minds again…probably after we are moved and settled in a bit.

This morning I have had sort of an epiphany of sorts.

I began feeling not so good last night. Kind of like a cold or flu coming on. This morning I had realized this past few days I have allowed not so good things back in my “diet”. I had a slice of pizza for dinner the last night, a candy bar on Sunday. Saturday I had a grilled cheese made with white bread. Ok you see a pattern emerging here right? The white flour and sugar creeping in! It hit me this morning that it is my joints that are hurting. They have not hurt like this since prior to surgery!

DOH! Stupid me! So I know now I will not be able to allow this back…ever…if I want to feel good! I do not “dump: with sugar so it is important I make the choice to not eat it. I can do this though I have not had sugar or white bread for 5 months until this past weekend so I know this is a livable AND enjoyable option for me.

There are so many gluten free options out there now and honey and agave I used without these side effects so we will all be healthier in this house because of it. Just like when my youngest had food protein induced enterocolitis syndrome. We could not have processed foods in the house…at all! Thus we ate healthy.

My biggest gripe is the soreness in my joints. It still amazes me just how what we eat can and does effect our bodies and how we crave not just what our bodies need but get addicted so easy to the foods that just really are not food!

Keep those questions coming…happy to answer them. IF you do not want me to share your question be sure to say so in your email. OK? Great! Thank you to all of you….you are appreciated!

Until next time…

Trish

  1. You make such a good point! What we eat really does make such a huge difference. I notice that on my better eating days I have SO MUCH energy, and I can accomplish huge things! When I slip up and let the sugar creep in, or whatever it is, I don't move as well, and I'm tired and a bit sluggish. No motivation. It's amazing how even "just a little bit" can still be such a problem! Good luck with it all--I'm right there with you. Down with processed food!
