Round 5 Begins! Are You Ready?

How was my week?
I am working on cutting back my meals to 5 or 6 small meals and that was easy some days and on the challenging side others. I did not photo journal my food each day, I struggled with that this week. Emotionally it has been quite a hard one and stress for me is a weight loss killer. Had some issues with a friend that really threw me under the bus so to speak and that made a sorta emotional wreck. I respect others privacy so kept that stress to off the net but it impacted me…not in a good way, which is why I am only mentioning it.
I am also VERY bloated, with drinking 80 oz of water I would think it would be releasing, but it seems to not. My hands and feet are swollen and they have not been this way in quite some time. The weather, while I am enjoying the warmth immensely, has been a bit of a challenge with the humidity. Living in Maine where it usually is not humid much we do not have A/C…sooo it makes it very hot, humid and at times uncomfortable with nowhere to go for relief. I am thinking it is contributing to the bloatedness along with TOM seems to be hanging on extra long right now!
Oh and THAT number will not own me…It does NOT define ME!

Onto the weigh-in…

You live in Maine? I am right in New Hampshire, very close to the Maine Seacoast border! We should have a bloggie meet-up!

Ya know, no matter who wins in the mamavation, you're already a winner- you have lost almost 40 pounds! You know what you're doing and how to keep doing it.
I watch you tweet, and see how hard you're working & how motivated you are. Heck, you're even inspiring me-and my problem is twitter/internet (I need to get offa my butt and move more)
Keep it up- you WILL do it. I have faith in you.

Trish, congrats on the 3 lb loss! You are doing a great job and making some really incredible changes. Obstacles hit us, we just have to keep moving forward to reach our goals. You will get there! :)

3 lbs loss this week, YAY - and may be more when the extra fluid comes off. Just wanted to say that I live in NC where we have LOTS (and LOTS) of humidity...and it does seem to contribute to bloat! I don't quite understand how you get hot, sweat, but retain fluid. Joys of womanhood :P

Also... woot for 3 pounds! :)

I think you are totally awesome!! I am sorry you had a rough (sressful) few days with your friend... those situations are NEVER fun and hard.

I just love your positive attitude... and love(d) your positive quotes this morning on twitter. :) *hugs*

Good luck tomorrow night - and remember that nomatter who is 'crowned' Mamavtion Mom... we ALL are winners (er, losers!?? ) and are in this health and fitness journey together... as sista's! <3

Great job! When you photo journal, are you just taking pictures and sharing somewhere? So it's like writing it down, but snapping a quick picture? I might try that!

Hey Trish, can you add your measurements and "before" pictures to this post? I'm going to need all that to put you in the challenge just in case.

And you had a FANTASTIC weight loss this week. What are you talking about bloated? You did great. 3 lbs. is ALOT of weight to lose in one week. At your weight I would normally see anywhere from 2-3.5 lbs per week to lose with proper nutrition and a heavy exercise program of one hour per day. Yes, 2 lbs. is what is safe to lose, but you are bigger so your body may do a bunch more safely. Shoot for 2 lbs. per week and if you do better, that's just gravy. I'll be cheering you on. :)

I am hoping you have a much less stressful week! Congrats on the 3 lbs though! That is wonderful.

I can't believe how hot it was in the NE this past week! I live in NY and it was brutal! Hopefully it stays nice and semi cool for a few weeks. Didn't even want to leave the house.

Congrats on that 3 lb loss =) ANd you are so right, our weight does not define us. ((hugs)) as you wait for the twitter party. I can't imagine what your feeling right now.

Trish, in spite of the stress, you are doing GREAT!! I'm sure the weather has a lot to do with your bloatedness. Keep drinking the water.

I started doing 10 minutes of Pilates back in January and it has made a big difference in my day. My morning back pain is gone. It's a great habit to get into!

Good luck tomorrow!!

Trish, you are doing so awesome! I need to clarify my post. I wouldn't worry about the whole sweat issue when you're losing 3#/week! I was mainly meaning for those that are frustrated with not losing weight...

Good luck tomorrow! I'm cheering and voting for you! :)

Yay on the weight loss and even bigger yay on the soda. I am not sure I could do that! Give me the low down on diet soda. I know it's bad, but I guess I've been avoiding reading about why because I still want to drink it!

I've had some stressing this week too. You're right it's bad for weight loss. As you saw on my blog, I had some emotional eating going on. Learning a lot about myself this week.

Go go go!

You did great with your goals this week especially considering how crazy the climate has been in your neck of the woods. Congrats on last week's three-pound loss... good luck on Monday.

Awesome job on the 3lbs girl!!!

Way to keep pushing forward despite the emotional stress! Head up and you can reach your goals!

Great job on the loss, Trish! I think you don't give yourself enough credit. I read your post thinking you must have gained weight and yet YOU LOST 3 POUNDS! You need to give yourself some kudos. You're doing amazingly well, but you tend to document what you're doing "wrong". Just an observation from someone who thinks you are doing a heck of a lot RIGHT! love ya and thinking of you today/tonight. I know it's a stressful day. xoxox
