Monday

How have I done?

Weekly weigh in I was down .4, so am I still plateauing? We shall see Wednesday. Eating I have done a bit better, loving my body more by treating it better with what I put in it for fuel.

How do I feel…

I am still working on how I feel…putting it in words.

 Meal planning
Breakfasts: oatmeal, yogurt with fruit or eggs with fruit
Lunches: Leftovers from dinner, smoothie or beans and brown rice with veggies.

Snacks: fruit with nuts or hummus & veggies

Dinners…

Monday ~ Veggie Chili with cornbread
Tuesday ~ Baked Pasta and salad
Wednesday ~ Hearty Beef & Bulgur Stew
Thursday ~  Maple crusted salmon, mashed sweet potatoes and steamed asparagus
Friday ~ pizza night with salad
Saturday ~ Fajitas with corn tortillas and a spinach salald
Sunday ~  Turkey, corn, homemade cranberry sauce and spinach

Goals:

  • Focus on only 5 pounds at a time
  • do 30 minutes of activity daily, something…anything
  • Get 6500 steps a day (upped from 5000)
  • Get in 100oz water daily (upped from 64oz)
  • Continue to Journal my food/steps/exercise

  1. You are moving in the right direction Trish! I like your focus on only 5 pounds at a time...that is a great focus, especially for me who has a LOT to lose! Doesn't get so overwhelming that way! We've been slowly transitioning to Clean Eating at our house too...and I love it!

PS - you have a couple blog awards at my blog...come on over and pick 'em up! http://makingoverme.blogspot.com/2010/03/what-week.html

  3. Trish, I love that you said that you are loving your body more by treating it better... That is exactly what is supposed to come from this journey ~ learning to love yourself enough to want the best for you. Continue with your goals for this week and drink that water.

  4. Down is down - You could try plotting it out on a graph and watching your overall downward trend - it might make you feel better :) You're doing a fantastic job and I wish you the best of luck in this Mamavation Campaign! You can do it!

  5. I notice the weight loss is always minus something - good job. Let's talk soon. I love ya.

  6. I'm not losing but then it's 3 weeks and I'm really just now "getting it." After Bookieboo scolded me (smiles) about Nutrisystem, I switched to healther eating with fruits/veggies and protein. Healthier living is better in the long run and it will come off of both of us!

  10. I really like your weekly goals - they seem very do-able. :) I also didn't realize you were a mindful menu planner - have you changed your blog look recently or just started posting there?

  12. Trish - I love your meal planning! Good job on the loss. I lost .5 this week. Sometimes it feels like eeehh..less than a pound. But a loss is a loss, sista! Celebrate it!

  14. You're doing an awesome job, Trish, keep up the hard work! I need to up my water too, for sure. Do you have any specific plan for exercise? I know my problem right now is that I don't have a firm plan - and so it doesn't get done.

    Good luck this week!

  16. I know it's been said before, but a loss is a loss is a loss. It adds up over the weeks! Loving yourself and taking good care of yourself is the most important thing. The weight will take care of itself if you're truly taking good care of yourself. Keep it up!
