How have I done?
Been sick since Sunday, now no voice. I have not planned, followed, journaled nothing. I have existed and that is ok because this but has knocked me down, but not for good.
I know I will eventually feel better so I am taking things one step at a time, moment by moment trying to eat what my body needs to help heal it self.
We are getting ready to be in the middle of a move so meals will be…well eating from what we already have and buying minimal so we do not have to pack the food. I will still meal plan as much as possible, but it may vary from the original plan.
How do I feel…
Like death warmed over! but this too I know will change…tune in next week
Meal planning…
Breakfasts: yogurt/fruit parfaits topped with granola /creamy grits topped with cheese/ scrambled eggs with peppers and onions /oats with natural PB and ground flax drizzled with a little agave nectar
Lunches: Leftovers from dinner or veggie soup or beans and brown rice
Snacks: fruit, yogurt, popped popcorn
Dinners…
Monday ~
broiled chicken, spinach and brown rice
Tuesday ~
Black Bean Burger on bun with corn, oven fries
Wednesday ~
Baked pasta
Thursday ~
Broiled haddock with pineapple salsa, mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus and spinach
Friday ~
Chili with cornbread
Saturday ~
Fish Chowder and crusty rolls
Sunday ~
Crock-pot pulled chicken, brown rice, applesauce and carrots
Goals:
- Lose 17 pounds (left from the 20)
- do 30 minutes of activity daily, something…anything
- Get 5000 steps a day
- Get in 64oz water daily
- Continue to Journal my food/steps/exercise
- Eat whole unprocessed foods 90% AKA Clean Eating
Being ill really makes it tough to focus on weight loss and to add moving to it as well. YUCK! Feel better and rock that scale!
ReplyDeletemmm... the haddock w/ pineapple salsa sounds lovely. Might have to try that sometime!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about being under the weather, the cold/sinus stuff hit our house this week and it's thrown us all off. At Kia's recommendation, I made some garlic lemonade today. Garlic is a great immune system booster and it doesn't taste too bad. Hopefully it helps!
You're right - the only way is UP! You can do it, Trish! Believin' in you!
Thanks so much...I know it will get better, just stinks during the process
ReplyDeleteDr. Renna would tell you to eat garlic and onions. I know. But don't worry...you won't be greeting anyone. lol
ReplyDeleteGet better and rest up! We miss you! XXOO
I thought you were getting all better darnit!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing amazingly well considering you feel horrible. Comfort food is so tempting when your sick.
Get better and enjoy your wonderful day today as much as possible!
XO
