Simple fruit syrup

A great alternative to sugary syrups and artificial sweeteners syrups.

Ingredients

    1c frozen blueberries
    1t vanilla extract
    1/4c water

Directions

Place all ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil. Allow to simmer until fruit is mushy and some water has evaporated, about 10 minutes.
Place in a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into a jar using a strainer lined with a coffee filter to discard fruit pieces keeping only the juice.
Syrup can be used hot or cold and can be stored in fridge for up to a week.
