Plans Do Change

DSC09176 I LOVED my breakfast this morning! It was 2 eggs over easy on top of a polenta crust and then topped with fat free cheese. I also had an apple on the side. It was good let me tell you!

Lunch and then dinner were a bit of a change to plan because of last minute change in meeting Hubs for lunch before speech appointment with my youngest. I brought my lunch(as shown in my dinner) but had no way of heating it as I had planned on eating it at MIL’s after French class. SO I instead stopped at our local Dead River convenience store (love the manager and the employees are awesome too, gotta love a small town!) and bought a chef salad and banana…though I gave my banana to Hubs because he was really shaky.DSC09178

Dinner then was what I had planned for my lunch…brown rice florentine and a side salad with olive oil and a little fat free ranch.DSC09181

only thing I had today not pictured would be my one…yes only one today…cup of coffee with skim and stevia and I made a skim milk steamer with a little sugar free vanilla syrup in it before bed. A great way to end my day of eats.

I was weak on my water intake today…only 32 oz today.

My exercise was there…Day 4 of ACTIVE challenge! Yes!

Now it is YOUR turn…what do you eat for breakfast?

I (try) to eat a very small breakfast and lunch, b/c dinner seems to be the meal I have the least control over and I want to give myself some wiggle room. I also tend to end up feeling kind of run down if I have anything of real substance.

Breakfast this morning, for example, was 1 cup of dry fiber one cereal, which I munched on at my desk at work. 120 calories, and my full days of fiber in one shot. WooT.

Steve I like the fiber one as well...though not sure I could eat it plain...no milk or topped on my yogurt :)

Sarah! LOL thanks :)

Steve, I used to operate the same way, but have found that when I eat a lot of protein (and no carbs except fruit) for breakfast and lunch, that dinner is no biggie...no cravings or extra hunger.

Anyway, so what do I eat for breakfast? Greek yogurt, walnuts, berries or peaches; scrambled eggs with turkey sausage and spinach; oatmeal with dried fruit and protein powder mixed in. These are some of my favorites...

Great job Trish!! It was awesome of you to go get a salad instead of fast food!! I usually have a whole grain or pumpernickel bagel with low-fat cream cheese for breakfast, or scrambled eggs

Oh, Trish! That looks SOOOO good! As soon as I get healthy, I'm going to attempt to make that!

Did you say Polenta Crust? That sounds beauuutfullll!

And I had Chobani yogurt with Trader Joe's Granny Apple Granola mixed it.

And a homemade pizza for dinner, which means I can eat extra??

That looks like a really tasty day full of wonderful food! Great job! I'm not a big fan of breakfast, so I stick to oatmeal or a whole wheat english muffin. I know I could be more creative!
