Yesterday we got the news regarding the type of cancer MIL has. It is Hurthle Cell. Now it is time to educate, support and move forward. She has surgery scheduled for 9.29.09 but is on a waiting list for any openings sooner. I am so thankful this is speeding ahead as much as it has, for everyone.
My SIL came up as well yesterday and is staying until tomorrow, we will have the opportunity to see her tonight, I am really looking forward to it. I am ashamed to admit we really have not been as close as we should be, life seems to get in the way, but then life takes a turn and you realize just how important the “real” things IN life are…family.
I love this photo, it is from last fall and MIL is with my youngest and his best friend. THIS photo conveys what life really is all about, friends, family time spent together enjoying all God has created.
We were not created with the view to dealing with sickness or death, we were created in God’s image to enjoy life, to live that life forever on the earth.(Gen 2:8-25) When sickness and death raise their ugly heads it brings me back to the real issue at hand and just how important it is to remain close to the one who created all things good.(Gen 3:1-5, 15; Job 2:1-6) I know no matter what the future indeed holds out a great life for all mankind(Acts 24:15, Rev 21:3,4), it is just getting through the now I need to rely heavily on what the Bible truly says and deepen the faith and love I already have for my God, my family, my friends and myself.
This was my younger 2 yesterday keeping busy since Mom here was a bit on the distracted side waiting for the news. I was really happy they worked together, occupied each other and were creative in the process.
Kiwi and 2 hardboiled eggs. What is not shown is a half a banana I ate and my 2 cups of coffee with soymilk and stevia.
Remember to tell those you love that you LOVE them each day, without fail, because our days are uncertain at this point and we just never know how quickly they may change…overnight.

So sorry. I hope that they can get an earlier date. Thanks for the last paragraph - that is the key to everything.
You are all in my thoughts!
Oh, girl, I'm here if you need anything. I know I can't do too much from SC, but I'm praying and sending my love your way.
What a beautiful woman! You are right Trish your family is what matters the most and more than that your faith is what will see you through this time. Much love to all of you and I will be thinking of you and praying for you.
XOXOXOXO
Continuing to pray for all of you. Also asking for an earlier date for her surgery. If you need anything please don't be afraid to ask. We are all here for each other!! XX
Thank you all so much for your thoughts and encouragement. It really does help...more than you know.
