Getting Back in the Game

My morning started great had a cup of plain fat free yogurt with pineapple and grape nuts along with my daily dose of caffeine. I had forgotten how much I really enjoy yogurt, the many different ways.
Here is a great close up of all 3 elements.

Now what you don't see, and it is because I am still getting used to the photo journaling still and forgot my camera, is lunch. Hubby was not in the greatest of moods yesterday going to work so we decided to surprise him and had lunch together. The place voted on by all(except me :( ) was Wendy's. *sigh*Not easy for me to make a good choice here, especially when I am being asked a million questions by the kiddos, so Mom fell back into auto mode and ordered the "number 1 meal", as it comes. NOW in hindsight I could have just got a regular hamburger, mandarin oranges and a side salad. But going out I had thought Subway would have been the choice and that is an easy one for em...a salad. I LOVE their salads. SO you live and you learn. I did learn to make a cheat sheet for the few quick places to get something to eat around here and that way even if there is confusion, well I have a meal ready to order.

For a snack I had a package of 90 calorie organic graham crackers. It took the edge off while I was preparing supper. An apple would have done the same thing and been a better choice.
For dinner I threw together some pasta and fresh tomatoes and peppers, black beans a little shredded cheddar/Monterrey jack and a bit of sesame dressing over top. It was really good!

My snack that evening was my old standby of popcorn drizzled with canola and sprinkle of sea salt. I figured I would not bore you with the same photos again! :) I also had 2 more packages(wicked things, need to not bring them home) of 90 calorie organic chocolate graham crackers.

I drank 40 oz of water, this is just plain old water, but had more in the way of liquids with some tea, milk and lemon water.

Today is a new day with many opportunities to practice making healthier choices, living a healthy lifestyle and make it my own.

  1. Looks good! I love yogurt too. I like to get plain low fat yogurt (organic is best) and mix it with fresh or frozen berries and top it off with ground flax seed, nuts and pumpkin seeds. Very good and very good for you! Have a wonderful day!
